Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is an extremely effective way to decrease the density of hair growth leaving your skin with a smoother, sleeker appearance. To achieve this, we use the GentleLASE® and GentleMAX® lasers from Candela to target and retard/destroy the hair follicles.

Lasers will reduce the amount of hair growth by a process called selective photothermolysis. The laser is effective on follicles in the active growth phase. Since all hair is not in the active growth phase at any one time, repeated treatments are required at 4 to 6 week intervals. Our clinical esthetician would say that five to eight treatments are usually required.

Our clinical esthetician utilize the GentleLASE® and GentleMAX® lasers by Candela which attack hair follicles with intense pulse light as well as with radio frequency. Most skin types may be treated; however, it is best to avoid sun exposure before and after the treatments. The treatments may take 5 to 60 minutes depending on the body area treated. We may provide a numbing cream to be applied to the skin if needed for a more comfortable treatment.

Laser Skin Rejuvenation

  • Redness of the face and neck
  • Rosacea
  • Sun/Age Spots
  • Face and Leg Spider veins
  • Freckles
  • Scars
  • Port Wine Stains

Vascular Lesions are areas of overgrown or enlarged blood vessels. These vary in color from red to purple and range in size from a spot to large areas of the body. Seen as visible veins, spider veins, angiomas or port wine stains, they are quite common and are either congenital, acquired through overexposure to the sun, a result of oral contraceptives, hormone therapy, or the natural process of aging. The V-Beam laser by Candela is used to treat most of these lesions.

Pigmented Lesions are light tan to brown and black areas of discoloration on the skin. In these areas the body has collected more pigment, creating age spots, liver spots, freckles and brown birthmarks. These are congenital or acquired through over exposure to the sun. The GentleLase laser by Candela is used to treat these lesions.

Laser Skin Tightening

Skin tightening with the Candela Gentle YAG laser is a procedure designed to stimulate dermal collagen production and regeneration of damaged skin cells that can provide you with firmer, smoother skin on the face, chest, arms, stomach or other areas, with no downtime.

For details pertaining to your specific situation please contact our office for a complimentary consultation. You may also visit www.candelalaser.com for more details about the Gentle YAG laser.

Laser Skin Resurfacing

Clear + Brilliant®

New laser technology has enabled Dr. Grant and our trained medical esthetic staff to use laser treatments to help remove damaged or wrinkled skin. From the inside out, the Clear + Brilliant® laser works by creating millions of microscopic zones in the treated skin areas and as your skin begins to heal it replaces the old, damaged skin cells with healthy new tissue cells. The laser is not only to correct skin damage and signs of aging, but also to help prevent them. Our clients have seen improvement in:

  • Illumination of skin tone
  • Younger looking, new skin
  • Smoother texture and soft skin
  • Natural glow and radiance

We offer these resurfacing treatments in a packaged series. We believe that you will see greater results and recent studies have shown that visible improvements were seen after four to six treatments.

Fraxel® re:pair

The Fraxel® re:pair is a great laser treatment option for those looking for more dramatic results from a skin resurfacing laser treatment. This laser delivers an efficient ablative treatment that can be performed by choosing one of two methods. The first method referred to as a “Single Sweep” is performed using a local anesthetic, has minimal risk and has an overall downtime period of less than one week. The re:pair method is performed using a general anesthetic and will leave a patient in clinical downtime for up to 2 days and in social downtime from 5-7 days after procedure. Dr. Grant and Dr. Gross like to use this laser treatment for the most severe skin damages such as scarring, pigment lesions, severe and moderate wrinkles, severe environmental damage, or for irregular skin textures.

For more information on the Fraxel® re:pair and to set up a complimentary consultation please contact our office. We would be happy to answer any questions that you have.
